Why The Rich Get Richer

From the beginning of recorded history, the rich always have a way of getting richer, and the poor (sadly), poorer. This is what we all know – and have come to agree, bitterly. However, what remains unclear is the exact reason behind. Why do the rich get richer, and the poor, poorer?!

The debate as to why in the world the rich always manage to get richer and the poor, poorer is a controversial and as well an engaging one. From biblical rhetoric such as that chronicled in Mathew 13:12to physical justifications such as laziness and lack of dedication on the part of the poor, the point remains that it is not properly explained to anyone satisfactorily why in the world the rich always manage to be richer why the poor languish in abject poverty and succeed in getting poorer. Divorcing ourselves from the theoretical jargon as to why wealth clings to the rich and avoids the poor or the biblical rhetoric as to why poverty never leaves the poor alone, let us get to the root of the matter.

Reason No. 1 Why The Rich Get Richer and The Poor, Poorer: The Rich Expect Nothing To Be Free

The rich are knowledgeable about the working of the current economic system of the world. It is not a mystery to them that if they do not work, they are most likely to sleep hungry. In essence therefore, the rich do not expect anything to be given to them free of charge. The poor, on the other hand, expect everything to be free – they are always anti capitalist! (DON’T GET ME WRONG, I WAS A REAL POOR GUY WHEN I DISCOVERED THAT TO BE RICH, I MUST STOP ASKING FOR FREE THINGS AND BE READY TO WORK HARD FOR EVERYTHING THAT WOULD COME MY WAY. LESS THAN TWO YEARS, I HIT A FORTUNE!!) With such a mindset thus, the poor instead concentrate on ridiculing the rich and expressing their heartfelt despise towards them. What does such a habit ensure? More poverty.

Reason No. 2 Why The Rich Get Richer and The Poor, Poorer: The Rich Are Hard Workers

The rich, no doubt, are hard workers. Most of them even take hard work to a whole new level and work as if their lives depended on it. Sadly, the poor feel that wealth is got mainly by divine providence and hard work, determination or perseverance has nothing to do with personal success. As it is clear from the holy book that the poor love quoting, you cannot reap where you did not sow. So, when you sow inactivity, laziness and indolence, it is expected that you will always reap tons and tons of poverty, well packaged!

Reason No. 3 Why The Rich Get Richer and The Poor, Poorer: The Rich Know Where To Invest

Knowing where to invest can be the main reason why you are still poor today. The rich know exactly where to invest. Knowing where to invest ensures that you reap up to a 100%ROI. This 100% may extend to 200%  or even 5000%. It can be that good. The poor however, specialize in investment that bring out only a miserly 5-10% ROI in a whole year. TIPS ON HOW TO INVEST MONEY WISELY may be a good place to start and learn further about this point.

Reason No. 4 Why The Rich Get Richer and The Poor, Poorer: The Rich Band Together For Success Why The Poor Band Together For Gossip

When the rich congregate together, either in their yatches, planes or exclusive clubs, the things that predominate their thoughts and talk are usually business and success oriented. What business is moving the fastest, introduction to person ‘B’ to facilitate a contract in state ‘C’, etc. On the other hand, backbiting and gossips are largely the main preoccupation of the poor when they congregate together. And according to Eleanor Roosevelt:

Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.

You have explained it in a very awesome manner. Rich people have worked their way up, so they keep working and thus getting more richer. Poor people need to understand, success comes with dedication, not just asking for it or cursing others success.

Rightly said, poor people are less focused than rich people. It gets all clearer now. Thanks for a thoughtful article.
